COVID DIDN’T CANCEL CANCER
The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted our daily lives and cancelled countless events, but one thing COVID hasn’t cancelled is breast cancer. Women are still being diagnosed with and fighting breast cancer and COVID has added more challenges: comprised immune systems put women in treatment and survivors at higher risk for; some women have delayed getting routine screenings or had surgeries and other treatments postponed. And our work to eliminate breast cancer disparities for Black women in Indianapolis hasn’t been cancelled either.
