Susan G. Komen Tissue Bank Donation Event

African American women have the highest breast cancer mortality rate and are three times more likely to develop triple negative breast cancer, one of the most aggressive forms. Studying normal breast tissue from healthy women could lead to discovering the reasons breast cancer impacts African American women differently and help develop new treatments or a cure.  We are partnering with the Komen Tissue Bank to encourage African American women to donate breast tissue at the tissue collection event on November 16th.
